Law Wai Hin

Law Wai Hin was born in China in 1939 and began his painting career in 1957 at the Hong Kong Fine Arts Academy. He is a full-time professional artist who taught watercolours at the Department of Extramural Studies of the Chinese University. Law Wai Hin works mainly in watercolours and acrylics, and his style explores a subtle East-West balance apparent in his delicate yet confident brushwork and in his beautifully transparent yet intense colour. In 1990 he emigrated to Canada and remains there still. His subject matter has changed; now he paints what he sees around him in the North Americas.
