Pyramid International - Set to make a bigger Impact down under! (14/05/2009)

Pyramid International is pleased to announce in partnership with Matt Walter and Juliet Thornton of Blue Dog Posters the acquisition of Impact Rock Merchandise PTY LTD of Australia. The move follows the recent acquisition of the Colours Poster distribution business in Eire and of the Hole in The Wall Poster and merchandise distribution business in the Netherlands and marks the next stage in the expansion of their global distribution network.

Impact has been the undisputed number one poster company in Australia for many years and dominates the supply of posters to supermarkets and key retailers in the Australian market holding many exclusive licenses.

These latest additions mean that the Pyramid International Group can now offer licensors unrivalled distribution directly into the world's leading retailers, in The USA via Pyramid America, the UK & Eire via Pyramid International, mainland Europe via Hole in the Wall and now the Australian marketplace via Impact.

As Ally Mayer, Managing Director of Pyramid International, points out. "No other company in this industry can offer a level of international distribution remotely close to this scale." He goes on to explain that the expansion of the business offers benefits for both licensors and retailers alike. Impact will now be headed up by Matt Walter and Juliet Thornton co-founders of Blue Dog Posters. They will be assisted locally by Joanne Carroll, daughter of Impacts previous owner Steve Carroll. Between them they share over 40 years of experience in poster retailing and have a great knowledge and understanding of both the international and local trends in the poster business.

Pyramid will use their licensing connections and sourcing knowledge to deliver a much more comprehensive package of posters, prints and merchandise to the Australian market.
