Jo de Pear

Professional print maker Jo de Pear studied at Edinburgh College of Art and also attained an MA in Printmaking at Chelsea, London. Jo uses a diverse range of printmaking disciplines to create her work such as lithography, etching, collagraph and silk screen, frequently combining two or three techniques to create her prints.

The images in her prints examine the notions of memory and loss by exploring the relationship between intimate objects. She also documents family heirlooms to represent the personality that is imprinted on them and captures the structure and beauty of flora and fauna.

Jo lives and works in London, and her work is found in many reference books on printmaking. Her prints have been exhibited widely, and a selection has recently been acquired by The British Museum for their collection.
