London-based artist Rachel Dein’s uses plaster casting to record the pattern, texture and delicacy of plants and flowers in a unique and distinctive way, capturing the most intricate details. After studying art at Middlesex University, Rachel went on to work as a prop maker for the Royal Opera House, the Globe Theatre and the English National Opera where she honed her skills in moulding and sculpting. After becoming a busy mother of 3 children, Rachel set up a studio in the attic of her home and started experimenting with various techniques of casting using plaster and clay.
